MATRIX Supporting IEEE’s Global Efforts to Advance Blockchain Applications in IoT
Monday September 10th, MATRIX CEO, Owen Tao and MATRIX CTO, Bill Li hosted Ramesh Ramadoss, PhD; Co-chair of the IEEE Blockchain Initiative and Chair of the IEEE P2418.1 Blockchain in IoT Standards Working Group and renowned expert in IoT, sensors and blockchain, at our Research Institute in Beijing. IEEE is the world’s largest technology association, with over 400,000 members in over 160 countries.
MATRIX will be joining the IEEE P2418.1 blockchain standards working group for blockchain applications in IoT, organized by Dr. Ramadoss. Owen and Bill introduced Dr. Ramadoss to our development team, and gave an overview of our capabilities in blockchain and AI. Dr. Ramadoss is one of the leads for the IEEE Blockchain Global Initiative, launching four new regional blockchain groups in China this year, with a dozen groups to be launched all over the world by the end of the 2018.
MATRIX expressed our interest in helping advance IEEE’s collaborative work in establishing global blockchain standards and regional groups in China. This builds on MATRIX’s commitment to accelerating broad industry adoption of blockchain solutions, including our strategic partnership with the China Standard (Huabiao) Science and Technology Group Co. Ltd (China Standard Group) and collaboration with other leading companies to establish Chinese national standards for blockchain.
