Matrix is happy to announce that anyone and everyone is invited to test our Masternodes!
Testing is now open to anyone and everyone! Simply download the gman (Windows).zip package from our website and follow the included Matrix Node Deployment Guide! You’ll also need to have a new Matrix Wallet address! The one you may have used while testing the AI Server several months back won’t work. With these in hand, you can officially start testing Matrix Masternodes!
Do I need test tokens to stake a Matrix Masternode?
Yes! You will need Testnet Tokens to test the Matrix Masternodes. This is important so…
DO NOT USE YOUR REAL MAN TOKENS TO TEST MATRIX MASTERNODES. ONLY USE TESTNET TOKENS AT THIS STAGE. AGAIN, DO NOT USE YOUR REAL MAN TOKENS.
With that out of the way…
“I want to apply for Test Tokens. My new Matrix Wallet address is: xxx.”
Please be sure to replace “xxx” with your new Matrix Wallet address. Test Tokens will be issued to your account within one business day.
About Block Rewards
Those with watchful eyes may notice small differences as compared to the previously announced network incentives. For instance, as of this writing, the Matrix AI Network’s blocktime is currently set to 6 seconds and each block yields 10 MAN tokens. The Mining Network receives 30% of these tokens, while the Verification Network receives 70%. Each election cycle (300 blocks), 21 mining nodes and 24 verification nodes (5 server as backup verifiers) will be selected.
There are other subtle differences. The team is currently preparing an updated write-up clarifying incentives.
As a small tip, block rewards earned for mining and verification tasks will be automatically distributed to your account in the form of transactions. This means that your earned rewards can be queried via the Matrix Blockchain Browser. The displayed Yield Rate is currently reporting the ratio of rewards versus your stake during a 300-block cycle.
Warning: Network Resets Incoming
On occasion, the Matrix AI Network may reboot as the team conducts tests. When this happens, you will need to redeploy your node.
Thank you for your all your help and support!
