Built To Last: Introducing Matrix’s Yangdong Artificial Intelligence Research Institute!
Over the coming weeks, the Matrix team will detail several projects in development at the Yangdong Artificial Intelligence Research Institute.
The Matrix team is happy to announce the formation of the Yangdong Artificial Intelligence Research Institute — named for Matrix’s Chief AI Scientist Professor Steven Deng, whose Chinese name is 邓仰东 or Deng Yangdong. An important part of the Matrix AI Network ecosystem, the Yangdong Artificial Intelligence Research Institute is committed to combining AI and blockchain with the Internet of Things (IoT). Its projects integrate many key technologies such as industrial big data, artificial intelligence, and blockchain. Professor Deng serves as the head of the institute.
Over the next few weeks, the Matrix AI Network team will share more detailed information about several “Smart City” and “Smart Logistics” projects currently in development at the Yangdong Artificial Intelligence Research Institute including an enterprise-grade big data cloudchain solution, and IoT cloud platform and an “Intelligent Warehouse” solution.

An Enterprise-Grade Big Data Cloudchain Solution
Built on the back of Matrix’s blockchain technology, this enterprise-grade big data cloudchain solution aims to support the operations and maintenance of several industrial production applications by providing distributed AI computing resources and models. This solution relies on two major architectures: an enterprise-grade big data cloudchain platform and a predictive health management (PHM) system to track the status of equipment.
An IoT Cloud Solution
Matrix believes that “Intelligent Logistics” solutions are inseparable from IoT, AI and blockchain technologies. The Yangdong Artificial Intelligence Research Institute is integrating these three technologies to develop an IoT cloud platform that aims to further the development of “Intelligent Logistics” solutions using AI and blockchain.
An Intelligent Warehouse Solution
The intelligent warehouse solution is a full-service system that includes power monitoring, dangerous object detection, AI data analysis, fire detection, security monitoring and an intelligent cloud platform. This solution also includes an inspection and maintenance system that aims to reduce the workload of inspection personnel by connecting all parties relevant to inspection and maintenance work.
