A quick look at the Yangdong Artificial Intelligence Research Institute’s Intelligent Cloud Technology and the DASP-MTS.

When discussing “Industry 4.0”, one cannot ignore intelligent cloud technology. Expected to be the core engine driving the third industrial revolution, intelligent cloud technology will upgrade the manufacturing industry through digitalization, interconnection, personalization, software and intelligence. So-called intelligent cloud technology can be understood as something combining the Internet, cloud computing, software, manufacturing, 3D printing and VI (Virtual Instrument) technology.

The Yangdong Artificial Intelligence Research Institute participated in an intelligent cloud project testing the DASP-MTS system in the hopes of further promoting the development of the manufacturing industry.

Intelligent Cloud Monitoring Service

The intelligent cloud monitoring service can be used to measure wind power and detect its impact on mechanical equipment. The monitoring system can track the health of bridges, dams and other large-scale structures.

A New Distributed Large-Scale Monitoring System

DASP-MTS is a new distributed large-scale monitoring system based on intelligent cloud technology. It can not only realize the distributed monitoring and detection of large and super-large structures, but also satisfies the online monitoring of distributed devices. It does not need complicated wiring and networking; but has performance superior to that of traditional monitoring systems. It stores a large quantity of data monitored by equipment. The data is stored permanently and can be analyzed and processed in depth. Even if monitored equipment is distributed all over the world, relevant personnel can rely on cloud monitoring through any terminal device that can access the Internet to manage equipment easily.

Real Mobile Internet Testing Technology

The intelligent cloud system has been applied to a Xinjiang Grand Bridge project. The Xinjiang Grand Bridge is China’s first mid-supported railway steel box basket arch bridge. It is also the bridge with the largest span arch, the highest scientific and technological requirements and the most difficult construction, of the Nanguang Railway Line. The deck of the bridge is composed of longitudinal and transverse steel beams. The length of the bridge is 618.3 meters and the span of the main bridge is 450 meters, which makes it the bridge with the largest span in its category in the world.

The MTS intelligent cloud system can monitor the health of large-scale structures such as bridges and dams. Compared with other detection systems, the DASP-MTS intelligent cloud monitoring system can carry out remote real-time measurements in harsh and dangerous environments. This enables long-term monitoring across a wide range of regions.

The DASP-MTS provides a variety of monitoring, alarm and storage strategies, which are suitable for most monitoring requirements. Multiple users can be set up, and each user can set three different operation permissions for each measurement group: no permission, read-only and read-write permissions. Signal monitoring can be set according to user needs: 24-hour continuous, daily clock, equal interval time, signal over-limit triggering, etc. Alarm and measurement points can be set separately to alert several states including green (safe), yellow (early warning), orange (warning) and red (dangerous) four states.

Using the DASP-MTS, structures like the Xinjiang Grand Bridge can be monitored online. Structural integrity, construction quality and other attributes can be tracked to help people better understand the working status of structures under actual load conditions to evaluate performance and develop maintenance and management plans. The DASP-MTS also provides early-fault warnings to guarantee safety.
